About the position

The Office Assistant (Clerk Typist II) position with the City of Lincoln & Lancaster County is a full-time role that operates within a standard office environment. The working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position is essential for supporting various clerical functions within the office, which includes processing court orders, maintaining and organizing files, and assisting the public at the front counter. The role requires a proactive approach to customer service, as the assistant will be responsible for answering and screening phone calls, as well as providing information and assistance to the public. Candidates for this position should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by coursework in business practices, and have at least six months of experience in general clerical work. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience with computers and clerical work is essential, as the role involves various administrative duties that require proficiency in these areas. Responsibilities

Requirements
