About the position

The Office Assistant/Data Entry Clerk position is a part-time remote role focused on monitoring emails for job assignments, managing due dates, and supporting the management team with proofreading and formatting reports. The role requires flexibility in work hours, with a minimum of 2 hours of work expected each weekday. This position is initially contracted with the potential for future growth into a full-time role.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor emails for job assignments and loss runs.
  • Input data into the company database.
  • Track due dates for incoming and outgoing assignments.
  • Proofread and format professional reports.

Requirements

  • Ability to type quickly and accurately.
  • Competency with Windows Computer Systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including sorting data and using filters.
  • Familiarity with Excel functions and basic function creation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, including formatting and adjusting documents.
  • Competency with Business Email Systems.
  • Ability to navigate web pages and upload files to online systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Microsoft Excel Expert skills, including conditional formatting and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access Relational Database.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Outlook, including quick parts and email templates.
  • Experience in the insurance and/or safety industry.
  • Proofreading and/or English writing experience.
