About the position

Our office has created a new position for an Office Assistant/Paralegal at our busy firm located at 3730 Allen Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN. This role is essential for supporting our legal team and ensuring smooth office operations. While a paralegal degree is not required, candidates with such qualifications will be given preference. The ideal candidate will possess excellent phone skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues alike. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to the daily functioning of our office. Your primary duties will include answering phones, managing client files, assisting clients in completing necessary paperwork, and handling multiple calendars. You will also be tasked with scheduling appointments, answering and drafting emails, filing documents, and typing correspondence. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage their time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Our office operates Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends or overtime required. We are looking for someone who can start immediately. The starting pay for this position is $32,500 per year, with an increase to $35,000 after 90 days. Candidates with experience in best case or bankruptcy will be considered for a higher starting salary.

Responsibilities
