Responsibilities include performing accounts payable and receivable activities, such as printing checks, making bank deposits, and invoicing. Familiarity with QuickBooks is beneficial, although not mandatory, as the individual will be entering information into the system. Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and data entry are also required, along with the ability to manage inventory for office supplies and branded materials. Customer service is a significant aspect of this position, primarily conducted through online communication via email. The Office Assistant will assist corporate sales and marketing staff with various minor tasks as needed. Additionally, the role involves warehouse and office maintenance, including shipping and receiving coordination. This includes preparing packages, creating shipping labels, tracking shipments, and ensuring that all incoming products are organized and stored correctly. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and office space, managing recycling and garbage, and performing odd jobs as assigned. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, dependable, and capable of working independently. They should be willing to take ownership of their responsibilities and be able to lift up to 22 pounds, which is the weight of a case of beverages. Responsibilities

  • Perform bookkeeping support under the supervision of office management, including accounts payable and receivable activities.
  • Enter information into QuickBooks and assist with data entry for various business information.
  • Track inventory of office supplies and assist with reorders.
  • Provide customer service support primarily through online responses via email.
  • Assist corporate sales and marketing staff with minor tasks as assigned.
  • Prepare packages and special request shipments accurately and efficiently.
  • Create shipping labels using an online shipping portal and track shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Organize incoming packages and beverage products, ensuring they are stored correctly.
  • Manage recycling, garbage, and overall maintenance of the warehouse and corporate office.
  • Perform odd jobs and cleaning tasks as assigned, including occasional errands in the metro area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Entry-level position with less than 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is helpful but not necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Customer service experience, preferably 1 year.
