About the position

We are seeking to hire an experienced Automotive Accounting/Title Clerk to join our team at Volvo Cars Winston Salem. The ideal candidate will possess previous accounting experience and demonstrate a self-motivated and detail-oriented work ethic. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth processing of automotive titles and registrations, which are essential for our operations. In this role, you will be responsible for processing all payoffs and obtaining dealer titles, which involves meticulous attention to detail and adherence to legal requirements. You will also handle the registration of both new and pre-owned vehicles, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner. Additionally, you will be tasked with issuing and transferring license plates, maintaining titles and Manufacturer's Certificates of Origin (MCOs) for our inventory, and preparing title work for sold vehicles to submit to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Compliance with state, federal, and local laws in processing titles is a critical aspect of this position. You will also be responsible for processing contracts and performing various other office duties as needed. This full-time position requires a commitment to working Monday through Friday, and it is essential that candidates are comfortable working in an in-person environment at our Winston-Salem location.

Responsibilities

  • Processing all payoffs and obtaining all dealer titles.
  • Processing all registration for new and pre-owned vehicles.
  • Processing all license plate issuing and transfers.
  • Maintaining titles and MCO's for new and used inventory.
  • Preparing title work for sold vehicles and submitting to DMV.
  • Ensuring compliance with state, federal, or local laws in processing titles.
  • Processing contracts.
  • Performing other various office duties.

Requirements

  • Previous accounting experience in an automotive setting.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented work ethic.
