About the position
We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide assistance to the office administrator with daily routines and ensure smooth operations within the office environment.
Responsibilities
- Check voicemails/missed calls
- Ensure work orders are complete for the day
- Communicate with workers any specific instructions that go along with the work order
- Answer the phone
- Schedule moving appointments
- Keep Google Calendar updated
- Follow up with customers who have scheduled moves
- Sort and file necessary paperwork
- Make photocopies
- Create necessary forms for the office
- Check in with workers at 11:00 am
- Assist the Project Manager as needed
- Communicate necessary information to CEO/GM
- Check mail and sort accordingly
- Maintain contact with customers throughout their journey with Applewhite Movers
- Update monthly customer database
- Help resolve any problems that arise efficiently
- Keep the office environment free of negativity
- Organize and maintain the utility room
- Restock supplies as needed
- Reserve rentals for upcoming jobs in a timely manner
Requirements
- Experience in customer service
- Detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Proficient in using Google Calendar and other office software
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in an office environment
- Familiarity with moving industry operations
