About the position

Travis Monuments, a family-owned monument company with over 100 years of history, is seeking a compassionate and service-oriented Office Assistant. This role involves processing orders, assisting customers in designing monuments, and providing excellent customer service during a sensitive time. The position offers extensive paid training to equip candidates with the necessary skills for success.

Responsibilities

  • Consulting with families in the designing of their monuments.
  • Reviewing pricing to ensure families are informed of all the various options.
  • Setting the proper expectations for timing and process of creating the monument.
  • Working with our field team to ensure the timely setting of completed monuments.
  • Developing and maintaining solid product knowledge to meet families' various memorial needs.
  • Preparing inscription and memorial sales paperwork including tracking orders, following up on monument quotes, and emailing photos of completed work.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in sales or sales administration.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience in office management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet and interact with customers in person, on the phone, and via email.
  • Attention to detail and a flexible, proactive attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the industry is a plus.
