About the position

The Office Automation Senior Architect position at the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) involves performing complex professional and advisory functions related to the architecture, governance, planning, design, documentation, deployment, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of State of Illinois websites. The role focuses on utilizing Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Platform, ensuring operational health, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability of the M365 environment, and leading project components for complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, govern, plan, design, document, deploy, configure, administer, and troubleshoot development of State of Illinois websites.
  • Serve as project lead for administering and monitoring the M365 and Microsoft Power Platform delivery.
  • Ensure operational health of the M365 environment including availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability.
  • Provide primary support for scheduled and remedial maintenance.
  • Assist in architecting and coordinating project components such as project scheduling and assignments.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Strong knowledge of web development and architecture principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Experience in project management and coordination.

  • Bilingual skills are welcome.
