About the position

The Office Billing Specialist - Data Entry position at Cardiac Solutions is a full-time role focused on ensuring accurate and timely posting of charges and payments to maximize reimbursement for services provided by physicians. This position plays a crucial role in the billing process, requiring attention to detail and compliance with regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve charges entered by physicians for all offices.
  • Post monies collected at all office locations.
  • Confirm charges are entered into Centricity with correct CPT and diagnosis codes before approval.
  • Resolve upfront claim edits and errors.
  • Ensure compliance with carrier regulations regarding billable services.
  • Follow up on all missing charges, diagnosis codes, and claims on hold for further information.
  • Communicate with doctors and back-office staff for billing necessities.
  • Complete assigned batch with daily charges within the 3-day protocol required.
  • Batch and submit claims daily.
  • Assist department staff with projects.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality by following HIPAA policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Entry-level position requiring knowledge of Centricity and CPT coding.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with physicians and staff.

Nice-to-haves
