About the position
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and minor repair duties on commercial office buildings. This role involves handling service requests, communicating with the Property Manager, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The position offers growth potential and requires a team player who is willing to engage and learn new skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and minor repair duties on commercial office buildings.
- Handle all requests for service or maintenance primarily working alone.
- Monitor the work order portal for incoming service or maintenance requests.
- Communicate with the Property Manager to resolve maintenance or service requests.
- May supervise vendor service providers.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, being presentable and courteous in a business environment.
- Maintain the preventive maintenance program.
- Participate in after hours on-call rotation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- General working knowledge of commercial buildings and basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of janitorial maintenance, security, and general construction is preferred.
- Valid driver's license required to travel from building to building.
- Must be a U.S. citizen to enter into secure areas.
Nice-to-haves
- Electrical license is a plus.
- Skilled in the use of various power tools and computer literate (Email, Microsoft Office Suite, iPad).
