About the position

The Osceola County Clerk of Circuit Court & County Comptroller is seeking a dedicated and motivated Office Clerk for the Criminal Department. This full-time position offers an hourly wage of $16.50 and is designed for individuals who are eager to grow and develop within a fast-paced environment that emphasizes a culture of service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various clerical and ministerial tasks that are essential to the smooth operation of the office. In this role, the Office Clerk will engage in data entry within the case management system, ensuring that all information is accurately recorded and maintained. The position also involves conducting case reviews to determine the next appropriate steps in the legal process, as well as calendaring court events to ensure that all deadlines are met. Providing exceptional telephone customer service is a key component of this role, as the clerk will need to communicate courteously and professionally with coworkers, management, staff, and the general public. The Office Clerk will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment, demonstrating the ability to meet commitments and deadlines while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally. Flexibility is important, as the candidate must be available to work overtime when necessary. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the office.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrated maturity and communication skills for public service.
  • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
