About the position

The Office Clerk/Data Entry position at Expedite Technology Solutions involves providing administrative support to executives and managing various clerical tasks. This role is primarily remote, but candidates must be located in the greater Nashville Metro Area and be available to attend training and meetings in the Nashville office as required. The position requires a proactive individual who can handle routine administrative duties, allowing executives to focus on higher-level tasks. In this role, the employee will act as a liaison between the executive's office and various stakeholders, including the governor's office, departmental staff, and other agencies. Responsibilities include attending legislative functions and meetings to gather information, handling complaints and requests from legislators and citizens, and representing the executive at receptions and other events. The employee will also be responsible for supervising and training clerical staff, making personnel recommendations, and managing routine correspondence, including composing replies and preparing non-routine correspondence as needed. Additionally, the Office Clerk/Data Entry role involves organizing travel arrangements, maintaining expense accounts, and ordering office supplies. The employee will operate standard office machines and equipment, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to executives by relieving them of routine tasks.
  • Act as a liaison between the executive's office and various state and federal agencies.
  • Attend legislative functions and meetings to gather information and represent the executive.
  • Handle complaints and requests from legislators, citizens, and employees.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned clerical staff and their work.
  • Compose routine correspondence and prepare non-routine correspondence as requested.
  • Assemble information for speeches, staff meetings, and other purposes.
  • Make travel arrangements and maintain expense accounts.
  • Order office supplies as needed and operate standard office machines.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in administrative support or clerical work, with the possibility of substituting experience for education on a year-for-year basis (up to four years).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Excel (preferred).
