About the position

Humera is seeking personable and organized administrative professionals for the role of Office Clerk Floater in St. Paul, MN. This position is designed for individuals who are excited to work in long-term contracts throughout the school year, aligning with the school calendar. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule and involves working at various K-12 locations, primarily in district offices. These contracts typically last for 4-6 months or longer, providing a stable work environment for those looking to contribute positively to the educational sector. As an Office Clerk Floater, you will be required to demonstrate adaptability and a strong desire to support school operations effectively. The position entails performing clerical and routine administrative tasks that may vary in complexity and often require independent judgment. You will serve as administrative support across K-12 levels, including elementary, junior high, and high schools, as well as other operational departments such as HR and facilities. Your responsibilities will include registering and withdrawing students, maintaining student records, and facilitating the transfer of records between schools as necessary. Effective communication is crucial in this role, as you will be responsible for interacting with internal staff, students, and their families regarding general notices and time-sensitive matters. Additionally, you will be the initial point of contact for phone inquiries, directing individuals to the appropriate staff members. The position may also involve other administrative duties and ad hoc projects as assigned by school leadership. Responsibilities

  • Performs clerical and routine administrative work ranging in complexity that may require the exercise of independent judgment.
  • Serves as administrative support in K-12 levels of schools (elementary, junior high, or high schools) along with other operational departments (HR, facilities, etc.) and performs related duties as required by the principal, assistant principal and other department leaders.
  • Registers and withdraws students, maintains student records and requests and/or sends student records to other schools as necessary.
  • Communicates (verbal and written) with internal staff, students, guardians/families about general notices and/or time sensitive matters.
  • Answers phones and directs individuals to the appropriate staff (initial point of contact).
  • Performs other administrative duties and ad hoc projects as needed and assigned.
