About the position

This is a great opportunity to join LOGISTEED America, Inc., a customer-centric transportation provider offering innovative solutions in freight forwarding and customs brokerage services. In 2023, the total addressable market in international trade was roughly $29.5 trillion. We help companies of all sizes bring their products to the U.S. market. This is not your ordinary clerk position. Apart from managing the day-to-day clerical and administrative tasks of the office, this role will be supporting a team of entry specialists. As such, the office clerk will be exposed to facets of the business. If international trade is an industry that interests you, take the time to apply. The successful candidate in this position will be able to manage all daily clerical and administrative tasks while supporting our team of entry writers. We have promoted several former employees from this role to be a part of our team of entry specialists to manage our growing list of clientele. The Office Clerk reports to the LOGISTEED America, Inc. CHB Operations Manager. This role will primarily perform clerical duties within the office to support daily operations. This position requires excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task along with the knowledge to produce accurate workflow in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while positively contributing to the success of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all daily clerical and administrative tasks.
  • Support a team of entry writers and specialists.
  • Communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail, packages, and messenger slips.
  • Monitor front desk activities, arrival notices, and faxes.
  • Enter and transmit ISFs (Importer Security Filing) for ocean shipments when applicable.
  • Enter data of client shipment detail and update shipment information and/or status when applicable.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth operations to deadlines.
  • Assist entry writers and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications.
  • Effective, clear, and concise communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to solve problems independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Time management skills to prioritize and complete a variety of tasks throughout each work day.
  • Ability to understand safety requirements and regulations (OSHA).
  • Ability to pass all TSA background requirements.
