About the position

The Office Clerk will play a vital role in supporting the Office Manager by performing various administrative and clerical duties at the service center level. This position is essential for ensuring smooth operations and providing quality service to customers, both in-person and over the phone. The Office Clerk will be responsible for a range of tasks that include managing paperwork, communicating with moving crews, and maintaining the office environment. The compensation for this role starts at $15 per hour, depending on experience, with a review after 90 days to assess performance and potential salary adjustments. In this role, the Office Clerk will be expected to provide quality service to walk-in customers and handle phone inquiries effectively. The responsibilities will include faxing, copying, and scanning important documents, as well as performing general housekeeping duties to keep the office organized. The Office Clerk will also maintain an inventory of supplies, prepare various reports for management, and ensure that all required forms and logs are up to date. Setting up appointments for surveys and deliveries will also be part of the job, along with filing and organizing paperwork to ensure easy access to information. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication skills and a good understanding of company software. The ability to multitask is crucial, as the Office Clerk will be handling various responsibilities simultaneously. A general knowledge of bookkeeping principles will be beneficial, along with familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. This position requires a high school diploma or GED as a minimum educational requirement.
