About the position

The Office Clerk at Arrowhead Landfill, a Waste Connections company, plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the landfill in Uniontown, Alabama. This position involves various administrative tasks, including tracking waste metrics, coordinating environmental testing, and providing HR support to employees. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily tracking report of tons handled by the facility
  • Track leachate levels and amount of gallons disposed and/or recirculated each day
  • Coordinate testing and paperwork for various testing required by landfill's environmental consultants
  • Coordinate and submit monthly and quarterly reports to various regulatory agencies
  • Provide general HR support to landfill employees
  • Assist in customer billings

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Must have flexible availability to include weekends
