About the position

The Office Clerk at ADESA plays a crucial role in providing clerical support and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This position involves processing customer transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and state or federal laws. The Office Clerk is expected to contribute to a positive work culture and assist in the overall operations of the office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent front-line customer service, ensuring prompt and courteous attention to customers.
  • Greet walk-in customers and direct them appropriately.
  • Answer the main phone line using professional phone etiquette and respond to customer needs.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner and report serious issues to management.
  • Accurately enter and update customer information in AMS and Auction Access.
  • Compile and edit documents with minimal errors.
  • Scan documents into Auction Access and manage records retention.
  • Log daily incoming mail and assist with filing for the front office.
  • Process information in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Assist front office personnel with customer calls as needed.
  • Respond to employee and customer accidents, injuries, and property loss, reporting incidents to management.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be qualified to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in phone etiquette.
  • Knowledge of Spanish language.
