The Office Clerk position at the Campus Police department is a vital role that involves a variety of administrative and customer service tasks. This position requires the issuance of temporary parking passes and involves heavy data entry, which includes inputting parking violations and vehicle registrations. Additionally, the Office Clerk will be responsible for filing documents and creating new Hillcards for students, staff, and faculty members. The role may also involve other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor. A unique aspect of this position is the responsibility to transport students with injuries around campus using the medical van, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit.

Responsibilities

  • Answer department telephones and assist visitors, students, faculty, and staff at the Campus Police window.
  • Issue temporary parking passes.
  • Perform heavy data entry, including input of parking violations and vehicle registrations.
  • File documents and maintain organized records.
  • Create new Hillcards for students, staff, and faculty members.
  • Transport students with injuries around campus utilizing the medical van.
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
  • Ability to work effectively in a group setting as well as independently.
  • Dependability and ability to maintain confidentiality are a must.
  • Previous office experience is required.
