In addition to data entry, you will coordinate the scheduling of pre-pulls for loads in the system, working closely with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries. Your role will also involve accepting loads and updating customer websites, which requires you to trace containers using various rail and port websites to monitor their locations and arrival times. You will be expected to follow up with customers regarding deliveries, last free days, earliest return dates, and cut-off times, confirming and scheduling delivery times with consignees. Another key aspect of your position will be to generate rates for customers and broker carriers, which includes quoting rates along with any additional charges such as fuel, detention, and chassis fees. You will also need to ensure that the weight of the loads is legal and that any hazardous materials are handled appropriately. Problem-solving and analytical skills will be essential as you address customer issues and ensure smooth operations within the logistics framework.
