About the position

The Office Clerk at Admiral Beverage plays a crucial role in coordinating clerical and administrative support activities. This position is responsible for analyzing and organizing office operations, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of office processes. The Office Clerk will also conduct orientation for new employees and maintain a professional image within the office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and organize office operations and procedures such as typing, bookkeeping, and filing.
  • Evaluate office production and revise procedures to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Establish uniform correspondence procedures and style practices.
  • Formulate procedures for systematic retention and disposal of records.
  • Plan office layouts and initiate cost reduction programs.
  • Review office workflows and documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare activity reports for management guidance.
  • Coordinate activities of various clerical workers within the department.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new employees.
  • Complete, distribute, and file new hire paperwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of office information systems including personal computers and applications software for word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
