About the position

The Office Clerk at Rensa Filtration, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting customer service and operational functions within the company. This position involves direct communication with customers, managing orders, and assisting various departments including Quality, Purchasing, and Finance. The Office Clerk is expected to maintain accurate customer records, handle complaints, and ensure smooth operations in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Customer Service Manager with communication with customers.
  • Identify and assess customers' needs and enter orders.
  • Take payment information, addresses, and phone numbers.
  • Keep customer files up to date and handle complaints, providing solutions and follow-up.
  • Manage incoming phone calls and work with freight companies including exports.
  • Keep all informed of new business and large quotes, recommending products to customers.
  • Set up new parts and customers in ERP system.
  • Back up purchasing and billing as needed.
  • Assist Quality Manager with change and document management, logging and reviewing quality events, and training needs for QMS procedures.
  • Participate in external audits and perform internal audits.
  • Help analyze material requirements and inventory with Purchasing/Operations.
  • Assist Finance Manager with daily accounts payable invoice matching and filing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Some experience working in an ERP system.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle stress and operate under deadlines.
  • Proficient with computers.
