About the position

The Office Coordinator at the University of Nebraska at Omaha provides essential administrative and technical support to the faculty and staff of the Grace Abbott School of Social Work. This role involves overseeing financial expenditures, coordinating human resources functions, and managing general office duties to ensure smooth operations within the department. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining compliance with university policies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all expenditures of the Grace Abbott School of Social Work (GASSW) including paying invoices and performing budget transfers.
  • Create budget reports and reconcile invoices and expenses.
  • Inventory and order supplies, teaching aids, and promotional materials.
  • Assist with monitoring grant budgets and accounting tasks.
  • Maintain job descriptions and postings for HR functions.
  • Handle HR paperwork and logistical onboarding of faculty, staff, and student workers.
  • Prepare faculty reappointment letters and maintain personnel files.
  • Book travel for guest speakers and job applicants, and train staff on travel policies.
  • Maintain physical keys and access for GASSW employees, distribute mail, and coordinate office moves.
  • Provide administrative support for GASSW events and coordinate with UNO Facilities for maintenance.
