SERC Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is seeking an Office Coordinator to join our team in Shawnee, KS. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the daily operations of our clinic, ensuring a pleasant and efficient environment for both staff and patients. As an Office Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, making your role vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth functioning of the clinic, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and managing patient payments. Responsibilities

  • Greet everyone who enters the clinic in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Schedule new referrals received by fax or by telephone from patients and physician offices.
  • Verify insurance coverage for patients.
  • Collect patient payments.
  • Maintain an orderly and organized front office workspace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational detail and ability to multitask.
  • Efficient time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle heavy phone work and provide top-notch service.
  • A strong level of comfort navigating a computer and ability to learn new computer programs.
