About The Position

The Office Engineer position at Urban Engineers involves supporting the Facilities CM Department with ongoing projects at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The role focuses on managing project documentation, processing change orders, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements, contributing to the overall success of construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, including Word and Excel.
  • Candidates must have their own vehicle and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process change orders and material testing reports.
  • Maintain project records.
  • Prepare construction progress meeting minutes.
  • Review contractor's payment requests.
  • Review and track RFIs and submittals, following up on their status.
  • Document control.
  • Assist with preparation of construction estimates and perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Monitor and report on Contract W/MBE requirements.
  • Track and evaluate Time and Material tickets.
  • Track Classified Items.
