About the position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Installer - Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the team in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of various types of furniture in commercial business settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of furniture assembly techniques, the ability to work independently, and effective communication skills to ensure quality installations and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install furniture according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
  • Utilize tools and equipment effectively.
  • Supervise a team of installers, providing guidance and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Ensure installations are completed on schedule and within the client's specifications.
  • Communicate with clients and project managers to address any questions or concerns during the installation process.
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting and adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Ensure all installations are completed accurately and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Communicate with clients to confirm installation details and address any questions or concerns.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on installed furniture to ensure longevity and functionality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment during installations.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve installation processes and customer service.
  • Work closely with our clients on-site and from start of installation to punch-list and punch-list completion.
  • Manage maintenance of our company trucks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in furniture installation or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in furniture assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting heavy items and performing manual labor as required.
  • A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.

Nice-to-haves

  • Handyman experience: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Willingness to travel: 75% (Preferred)
