About the position

The Interior Designer/Specifier will play a crucial role in an office design firm, focusing on the design and layout of interior spaces with an emphasis on furniture selection and placement. This position involves collaboration with the sales team and management to provide design and specification support for a contract office furniture and interiors dealership.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and layout of interior spaces focusing on furniture selection and placement.
• Review projects with sales teams to ensure alignment on design objectives.
• Space planning using AutoCAD to create efficient layouts.
• Create 2D and 3D plans along with matching specifications for projects.
• Utilize CAP Studio to create detailed specifications for furniture and materials.
• Select finishes using a variety of materials including furniture, paint, flooring, and lighting.
• Represent design in sales presentations, ensuring professionalism and accuracy.

Requirements

• Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of design experience in a contract furniture dealership preferred but not required.
• Experience with AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with 20/20 CAP Studio is required.
