About the position

The Interior Designer/Specifier will play a crucial role in an office design firm, focusing on the design and layout of interior spaces with an emphasis on furniture selection and placement. This position involves collaboration with the sales team and management to provide design and specification support for a contract office furniture dealership. The designer will be responsible for space planning, color selections, renderings, and ensuring the accuracy of design work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and layout of interior spaces focusing on furniture selection and placement.
• Provide design and specification support to the sales team and management.
• Manage workload effectively and represent design in sales presentations.
• Ensure professionalism and accuracy in all design-related tasks.
• Review projects with sales teams and conduct space planning using AutoCAD.
• Create 2D and 3D plans with matching specifications.
• Develop specifications using CAP and make finish selections using various materials.

Requirements

• Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and 20/20 CAP Studio is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of design experience in a contract furniture dealership preferred but not required.
