About the position

The Office Inventory Clerk at Admiral Beverage Corporation is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory, including full goods and raw materials. This role involves counting stock, utilizing computer systems for inventory management, and preparing various reports related to inventory status. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to solve practical problems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Counts full goods and raw materials in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
  • Utilizes office Personal Computer to compute raw materials received and used, credits, and print variance journals for all products.
  • Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as orders and purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of full goods and raw materials and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.
  • Prepares reports such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
  • Prepares list of depleted items and identifies breakage, pilferage, and defective or unusable items.
  • Cross trains to provide effective backup for other office administrative tasks.
  • Completes all required food safety and GMP Training and demonstrates compliance on a continual basis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in using Personal Computer word processing and spreadsheet software application programs and custom mainframe software programs.
