About the position

The position oversees the financial transactions within the store, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing leadership to office personnel. The role emphasizes customer service, assisting customers with transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Oversees money flow in and out of the store and processes customer transactions.
• Works with upper management to train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.
• Ensures compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and other governmental money regulations.
• Conducts daily office audits and prepares bank deposit records.
• Maintains accurate money count in drawer and balances cash register drawers.
• Investigates and identifies store overages and shortages, reporting to upper management.
• Reviews cashier transaction reports for variance and alerts Store Director of concerns.
• Coordinates with retail support personnel to resolve office-related issues.
• Generates and maintains records detailing purchases and transactions.
• Processes requests for Western Union, money orders, lottery tickets, and refunds.
• Performs various store office activities such as ordering supplies and assisting cashiers.
• Accesses product codes and remains familiar with ad and special items.
• Adheres to laws regarding sales of restricted items and maintains a clean working environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age required.
• High School Diploma or GED and two or more years of related experience required.
• Must obtain HIPAA certification within 2 weeks of starting.
• Must obtain Tobacco/Alcohol certification within 2 weeks of starting where applicable.
• Must obtain AML certification within 2 weeks of starting.
