About the position
The Office Lead at Value City Furniture plays a crucial role in enhancing the customer service experience by leading office support functions and ensuring that store policies and procedures are adhered to. This position involves collaborating with the Customer Sales Team to facilitate smooth sales transactions and assist customers in finding the right furniture for their needs. The Office Lead is responsible for achieving individual and team goals while providing exceptional service to customers throughout their shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Achieves assigned goals and objectives.
- Leads other office support positions to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Teams with the Home Furnishings Consultant and/or Selling Assistant to follow established procedures in a friendly and professional manner.
- Attends sales meetings as directed by the supervisor.
- Discusses payment options with customers, including financing options, and generates customer invoices through the POS system.
- Works with customers to determine the best delivery date that meets their needs.
- Resolves delivery date issues in collaboration with the HFC or Selling Assistant or Manager as appropriate.
- Confirms delivery with customers and partners with the Warehouse team to discuss delivery specifications.
- Partners with management to address any issues that may arise.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years demonstrated office experience in a retail environment, preferably furniture
- Prior customer service experience in a retail store or call center setting
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a desire to take ownership and resolve customer issues
- Customer service oriented with a desire to exceed customer expectations
- Excellent math skills
- Ability to lead others in similar roles
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Solid written communication skills
- Excellent organization and follow-through skills
- Pleasant, courteous, and professional attitude
