Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church is seeking an experienced Office Manager/Bookkeeper for a part-time position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial management of the church. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of bookkeeping and financial management functions that are essential to the church's operations. Key responsibilities include the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, which are crucial for tracking the church's financial health. The Office Manager/Bookkeeper will also be tasked with preparing income and expense forecasts, as well as analyzing actual expenditures against the budget. Maintaining accurate records of cash, check, stock, and electronic contributions is another critical aspect of this role. Additionally, the preparation of the annual budget and general ledger maintenance will be part of the daily responsibilities. The candidate will also handle balance sheet reconciliations and payroll processing, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
