About the position

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Property Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of property management principles, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to handle tenant requests efficiently. This role requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and requests, addressing maintenance issues, lease violations, and general concerns.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants.
  • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to lease agreements.
  • Manage tenant screening and lease renewals.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, including lease agreements, tenant files, and property documents.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collection of rent and payment of invoices.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for all property-related documents.
  • Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely completion and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
  • Assist with property marketing and showings, as needed.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations related to property management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of landlord-tenant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
