About the position

The Office Manager at SFK in Playa Vista, Los Angeles, is responsible for supporting the Executive Director, Studio Director, Camp Director, and dance instructors in managing the daily operations of a children's dance studio. This role involves greeting clients, managing communications, ensuring office organization, and assisting with various administrative tasks related to dance and camp programming. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, friendly, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment with both children and adults.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Director, Studio Director, Camp Director, and dance instructors by greeting walk-ins and answering phones.
  • Assist current clients (adults and children) with inquiries and enrollment.
  • Ensure efficient office organization by keeping teacher rosters up to date and enrolling new students.
  • Assist with recital and performance planning and costume ordering.
  • Create communication documents utilizing proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Assist with the So Fly Kids Summer Camp.
  • Perform light cleaning and studio organization.

Requirements

  • Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms) for at least 1 year.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office for at least 1 year.
  • Administrative experience for at least 1 year.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and independently during non-class times.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Asana/Trello or other office organization programming.
  • Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities.
