Our reputable insurance agency is looking for an exceptional insurance personal lines and commercial customer service representative to join our team. At Michael Ramm-Farmers Insurance Agency, we pride ourselves on our outstanding insurance products and customer service. This position offers a competitive hourly base salary ranging from $16.00 to $22.00 per hour, along with bonus opportunities. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, providing a stable work-life balance. We also offer hands-on training to ensure that you are well-prepared to assist our clients effectively. As an Office Manager/Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling all incoming claim calls from customers, completing Evidence of Insurance requests, and documenting each customer contact in our eAgent system. You will be the first point of contact for customers entering the office, and it is essential to greet them in a friendly and helpful manner. Each customer interaction is treated as an opportunity to cross-sell and up-sell financial products, so a proactive approach is crucial. You will also verify and update customer information, return phone messages promptly, and maintain a thorough understanding of underwriting, rating, and compliance requirements. Additionally, you will generate insurance quotes and provide exceptional customer service while building and maintaining client relationships through follow-up calls and satisfaction checks.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all incoming claim calls from customers.
  • Complete Evidence of Insurance requests.
  • Document each customer contact in eAgent.
  • Immediately greet all customers entering the office in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Treat each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity including financial products.
  • Verify phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses with each customer contact and update customer information.
  • Return all phone messages promptly.
  • Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of new products.
  • Generate insurance quotes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Build and maintain client relationships with follow-up phone calls.
  • Follow up with customers to assure satisfaction, respond to queries, solicit further sales, and solve or refer problems.

Requirements

  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful, and be coachable.
  • Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
  • A Property & Casualty license is preferred but will train a good individual.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Career-minded vision.
