About the position

We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Office Manager / Events Planner to join our team in San Francisco. This dual-role position is responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of our offices in four regional hubs, while also planning, coordinating, and executing internal and external events. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a flair for creating engaging and memorable events. This role is required to be in-office in downtown San Francisco five days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee general office operations, including supplies management, vendor coordination, and facility maintenance
  • Serve as the first point of contact for staff and visitors
  • Maintain office policies and procedures, ensuring they align with company goals
  • Manage office budgets and track expenditure
  • Coordinate with HR, Business Operations, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Plan and execute company events including staff meetings, client events, retreats, and celebrations
  • Source venues, caterers, and vendors, managing all logistics and budgets
  • Develop event timelines and run-of-show schedules
  • Coordinate internal communications and promotional materials related to events
  • Evaluate event success and provide post-event analysis
  • Assist with a wide range of Business Operations responsibilities to support operations across the company
  • Support special team travel requirements leveraging the company’s travel management platform
  • Manage various regulatory and compliance obligations, e.g., state registrations
  • Produce financial analyses of overall corporate travel spend and policy compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in office management and/or event planning
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with event planning software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, Asana)
  • Previous experience in a hybrid or remote office setting
  • Familiarity with budgeting and expense tracking
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to anticipate needs and solve problems independently
