About the position

The Medical Assistant / Office Manager at Boost Wellness Clinic is a hybrid role that combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure the efficient operation of the clinic while delivering excellent patient care. This position is crucial for supporting healthcare providers and enhancing patient experiences in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient assessments, examinations, and treatments.
  • Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies under the guidance of licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare and maintain patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Conduct and record vital signs, patient histories, and medication reconciliations.
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection for lab testing as needed.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including scheduling, billing, and inventory management.
  • Greet and assist patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Handle patient inquiries, appointment scheduling, and follow-up communications.
  • Oversee insurance verification, authorization, and billing processes.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring a well-organized and efficient workspace.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment by working closely with healthcare providers and support staff.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical and administrative teams to streamline processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting, including administrative and clinical duties.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
