About the position

The Office Manager Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the STARBASE program, which aims to enhance fifth-grade students' interest and skills in STEM fields. This position encompasses responsibilities in information technology, administration, and serving as a liaison to ensure the smooth operation of the program and effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and maintain the local area network is operational at all times.
• Track warranty certificates for IT equipment.
• Facilitate IT training and maintain accountability of records.
• Perform computer hardware maintenance, software configuration, and network maintenance.
• Prepare and disseminate information of public interest.
• Receive visitors and telephone calls, and manage correspondence.
• Assist in researching, writing, designing, or editing agency publications.
• Use the SPCC credit card and eVA procurement system to obtain goods and services.
• Reconcile the SPCC credit card monthly and maintain procurement certification.
• Assist Program Director in coordination with local, state, and federal officials.

Requirements

• Ability to understand complex technical instructions and facilitate IT training.
• Ability to perform regular computer hardware maintenance and upkeep.
• Ability to perform network maintenance and troubleshoot technology issues.
• Ability to maintain confidential and complex records.
• Working knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, and principles of office management.

• Prior experience as a help desk technician or Information Technology professional.
