About the position

The Office Manager at Clarkson Eyecare is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office, ensuring a high level of patient care and satisfaction while maximizing sales and profitability. This position requires strong management skills, optical experience, and the ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff. The Office Manager will lead a team, manage scheduling, training, and inventory, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the office, including employee scheduling, weekly meetings, report generation, inventory assessment, supply ordering, and employee training.
  • Lead the staff by guiding them to success through focused support and coaching.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, staff, and various levels of management and corporate staff.
  • Direct and execute the overall sales and profitability of the office location through the effective execution of Total Patient Experience (TPE).
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with doctors associated with the office location and serve as a liaison between doctors and the office team.
  • Conduct performance reviews and compensation evaluations for the office team.
  • Implement, manage, and reinforce TPE to enhance the customer experience.
  • Monitor and enforce company cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Maintain facility to corporate standards including safety rules, HIPAA & OSHA requirements, and hazardous material handling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Management experience in an optical or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in eyecare/optical preferred.
  • Favorable result on background check as required by state.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • ABO and NCLE certifications preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in retail sales.
