About the position

The Office Manager at STP Performance Coating is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the office by performing clerical duties, managing office supplies, and overseeing a small team of office employees and contractors. This role serves as the first point of contact for customers and suppliers, requiring strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical duties to help the organization run smoothly.
  • Manage office supplies and company purchasing of products.
  • Lead 2-3 office employees and contractors.
  • Handle accounts receivable and payable using QuickBooks.
  • Answer phones and direct calls to the proper extension.
  • Administer payroll and track work hours.
  • File and maintain historical records and documents.
  • Provide general support to other office workers.
  • Update client accounts based on payment or contact information.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Great organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Some experience within the manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful.
