About the position

The Office Manager / Head Bookkeeper is responsible for providing exceptional and friendly customer service while managing various cash handling activities. This includes accounts receivable and payable, daily bank deposits, ATM functions, and other cash-related tasks. The role also involves answering telephone calls, emailing deposit information to the corporate office, and preparing office reports. The Office Manager may supervise other office employees in the absence of management and is expected to operate various office machines and equipment. Physical demands include the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional and friendly customer service
  • Perform cash handling activities including accounts receivable and payable, daily bank deposits, and ATM functions
  • Handle transactions such as selling money orders, lottery items, and processing coupons
  • Count cashier tills and perform safe audits
  • Email deposit information to corporate office
  • Prepare all office reports as required
  • Operate office machines and equipment
  • Supervise and direct other office employees in absence of management
  • Stock, order, and sell cigarette and tobacco products if required
  • Train other office employees
  • Work with payroll reports and time cards
  • Perform all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy

Requirements
