About the position

The Office Manager at Winters, LLC is responsible for overseeing the administrative operations of the office, ensuring efficient workflow and high client satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to managing the team and office processes, particularly in the context of tax preparation services. The Office Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a productive work environment and supporting the overall goals of the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the administrative team, ensuring effective client interactions and timely task completion.
  • Enforce office policies and coordinate tax preparation workflows and client document management.
  • Supervise client interactions handled by the administrative team to ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Oversee HR tasks such as onboarding, liaising with payroll services, managing employee benefits, and organizing company events.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of billing and accounts receivable by the administrative team.
  • Coordinate building maintenance and act as the liaison with the IT company for internal tech needs.
  • Manage CPE requirements and professional licensing for staff, ensuring compliance and proper tracking.
  • Maintain the central client database for accuracy and easy access.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a public accounting firm is a plus, but training is available.
  • Strong understanding of tax preparation services or a willingness to learn.
  • Proven team management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CCH ProSystem FX Practice Management and CCH Axcess Tax is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and client interaction abilities.
  • Strong leadership and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changing work environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in business/management preferred or equivalent experience.
