The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine (PVM) is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as the Office of Engagement Program Administrator. This role is centered around inspiring under-resourced children to explore careers in veterinary medicine through our initiative, The League of VetaHumanz. This unique program serves as a veterinary superhero league, providing role models and veterinary lessons aimed at helping children and their animals maintain good health. Our ultimate goal is to promote a diverse and inclusive veterinary profession, giving children a sense of belonging and equipping them with the STEM skills necessary for success in the field. In this position, you will act as a liaison, collaborating with partners in academia, industry, government, and community organizations nationwide. Your responsibilities will include launching role model teams and delivering our curriculum to elementary school students. You will also play a key role in leading the local delivery of the program, contributing to the creation of educational resources for children, and managing various community engagement initiatives. This multifaceted role requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and a passion for education and veterinary medicine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community engagement, program management, and education, with a focus on under-resourced populations. You will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all initiatives are executed effectively and on time. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as you will be interacting with diverse groups of people, including children, educators, and community leaders.
