About the position

The Transportation Specialist 5 position within the Office of Traffic Operations is responsible for overseeing the State RAID Team. This role involves managing traffic operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and implementing effective traffic management strategies. The specialist will lead a team, coordinate with various stakeholders, and contribute to the development of transportation policies and programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the State RAID Team and manage daily operations.
• Develop and implement traffic management strategies and policies.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies on traffic safety initiatives.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations of traffic operations and safety programs.
• Provide training and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic operations or transportation management.
• Strong knowledge of traffic safety regulations and policies.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
