About the position

The Transportation Specialist 5 position at the Office of Traffic Operations involves assisting in the management of the Traffic Management Center (TMC). This role is crucial for ensuring efficient traffic operations and enhancing public safety through effective traffic management strategies. The Assistant TMC Manager will support the TMC Manager in overseeing daily operations, coordinating with various stakeholders, and implementing traffic control measures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily operations of the Traffic Management Center (TMC).
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services to ensure effective traffic management during incidents.
• Monitor traffic conditions and implement appropriate traffic control measures.
• Analyze traffic data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Prepare reports on traffic operations and incidents for management review.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation Engineering, Traffic Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic operations or management.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with traffic data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
