About the position

The Office Operations Manager I is responsible for overseeing the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program at the Okaloosa County Health Department. This role involves significant supervisory duties, including managing staff, ensuring compliance with WIC practices, and improving operational processes. The incumbent will also handle administrative tasks, maintain records, and coordinate community initiatives related to the WIC program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate employees, including planning and directing their work.
• Develop performance expectations and conduct performance reviews.
• Assist program staff with WIC data collection and benefit issuance.
• Complete multiple reports for WIC sites and submit them to the state office.
• Serve as purchasing liaison for the WIC program and manage fiscal activities.
• Oversee compliance reviews and vendor management meetings for WIC vendors.
• Lead investigations into allegations of client fraud and program abuse.
• Act as the lead for the Farmer's Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and manage coupon inventory.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of WIC records and develop a record management system.
• Manage WIC program community initiatives and outreach activities.

Requirements

• 1 year of full-time work experience in administrative or office operations functions.
• Knowledge of administrative principles and office procedures.
• Ability to collect and sort data and conduct accurate inventories.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills in writing and speaking English.
