About the position

The Office Services Clerk plays a vital role in providing administrative support within a law firm environment. This position involves a variety of tasks including mail handling, copy services, reception duties, hospitality services, and facilities coordination. The clerk ensures that all services are delivered efficiently and professionally, contributing to the overall functionality of the office.

Responsibilities

  • Metering, sorting, and distributing mail and accountable packages according to schedule.
  • Producing copy, print, and scan projects accurately per written instructions.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and routing them to the appropriate person, while greeting and announcing visitors professionally.
  • Coordinating and maintaining client conference rooms, common areas, and kitchens, ensuring cleanliness and supply readiness.
  • Maintaining inventory control and ordering supplies as needed for kitchen and office areas.
  • Upkeeping copy rooms and stocking general supplies, including delivery of paper and basic daily maintenance.
  • Assisting with small office moves and communicating with key client contacts regarding building and equipment concerns.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience in a customer service field.
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
  • Ability to resolve issues with professionalism and tact.
  • Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater.
  • Ability to grasp, lift or carry packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 75 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand or sit for an extended period of time.
