About the position

The Office Support Person VI plays a crucial role in providing general clerical support to the Domestic Relations Section of Montgomery County. This position involves communication with clients, attorneys, and various county departments, ensuring the efficient processing of child support cases and maintaining professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily operations of the unit including the establishment and enforcement of child support orders.
  • Schedule support conferences and hearings.
  • Process complaints for support and coordinate appointments for genetic testing.
  • Mail and email notices, orders, and other related documents.
  • Update case information and records, and docket and process court orders.
  • Interpret obtained information to proceed to resolution or direct to appropriate staff.
  • Process requests for information from authorized agencies.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to Conference Officers and management staff.
  • Maintain on-site equipment such as printers and PCs.
  • Perform data entry and process daily mail distribution.
  • Communicate with clients, attorneys, and other departments both verbally and in writing.
  • Interact with clients in person as necessary and serve as a lead when required.
  • Maintain unit records and statistics, and attend training sessions and workshops.
  • Adhere to all security and safety directives and perform other related duties as assigned.
