About the position

The Officer, Corporate Partnerships will support the development and management of partnerships that drive revenue growth for Save the Children. This role focuses on leveraging business resources to create sustainable impacts for children, requiring collaboration with various internal stakeholders to implement effective strategies. The position is responsible for achieving a $3.5 million annual fundraising target through managing existing corporate partnerships and developing new strategies for engagement and support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and steward 2-4 medium profile existing corporate partnerships and support 1-2 high profile existing corporate partnerships, generating no less than $3.5 million in cash annually.
  • Lead and support all aspects of partnerships including programmatic funding support, cause promotions, licensing, product donations, communications plans, workplace giving, and employee engagement.
  • Develop annual partnership strategies and plans focusing on growing and stewarding overall account value, including growth in program investments and advocacy.
  • Set clear account objectives and reach KPIs, acting as a liaison with other areas of the Agency to ensure effective execution of client programs.
  • Support the Corporate Team strategy to drive impact partnerships with corporations, representing the Corporate Partnerships team on key working groups and leading special assignments.
  • Stay updated on industry trends related to private sector partnerships and ensure information sharing with other Save the Children member offices.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to drive visibility for Save the Children and Corporate Partnerships through social platforms and other channels.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional experience at an NGO or company in fundraising or Corporate Social Responsibility.
  • Significant consultative experience with proven results in conceptualizing, negotiating, and delivering complex client needs.
  • Strategic ability to meet goals and develop relationships to generate revenue (6 and 7 figure gifts).
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate challenging situations.
  • Problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Client-focused and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous, highly matrixed environment and drive projects to completion.
  • Passion and commitment to Save the Children's mission and values.
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite and in spoken and written English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of current theories and practices in corporate social responsibility.
  • Experience working with or in the financial or professional services industry.
  • International experience and working knowledge of additional languages.
  • Experience managing complex donor relationships, including multi-country grants and cause-related marketing campaigns.
