About the position

The Offline Programming Support position at LVD Strippit is primarily responsible for providing technical support to customers and Strippit Field Service Technicians on CADMAN related products. This role involves teaching and demonstrating the use of offline programming software products to customers and LVD North America service personnel. The individual will be responsible for creating new machine posts and providing ongoing technical support to both customers and field service technicians. Additionally, the role includes preparing CADMAN packages for customer orders, maintaining the latest software versions, and organizing them on the network. Testing and troubleshooting all new software versions is a critical part of the job, as well as ensuring that punching machine software is tested in imperial mode and debugging any issues that arise. The position also requires testing laser and press brake programming software and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers and LVD North America Field Service Technicians on CADMAN related products.
  • Teach and demonstrate the use of offline programming software products to customers and service personnel.
  • Create new machine posts for CADMAN software.
  • Prepare CADMAN packages for customer orders.
  • Maintain the latest software versions and organize them on the network.
  • Test and troubleshoot all new software versions.
  • Conduct punching machine software testing in imperial mode and debug issues.
  • Test laser and press brake programming software.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Programming, or related work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in computer networking and programming software is desired.
  • Previous experience with N/C or CNC programming is preferred.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and customer relation skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with personal computer hardware and software loading.
  • Experience with computer networking and basic SQL user experience.
  • Mechanically inclined.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites for training and problem-solving.
