About the position

The Offshore Mutual Fund Product Analyst at Raymond James plays a crucial role in supporting the growth and administration of the offshore mutual fund platform. This position involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the platform remains competitive and meets client needs. The analyst will assist in legal and compliance issues, product analysis, and strategy development under the guidance of the Offshore Mutual Fund Product Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Support the growth and administration of the offshore mutual fund platform.
  • Ensure the platform remains competitive and accommodating to client needs.
  • Establish networks with industry contacts to benchmark the platform against industry norms.
  • Collaborate with the mutual fund research team and advisors to evolve the platform.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential product partners.
  • Assist in risk management in pricing models and product availability by jurisdiction.
  • Perform detailed analysis of economic and selling contracts of product partners.
  • Gather, analyze, interpret, and distribute information on sales trends and product demand.
  • Interface with multiple departments to launch new funds and ensure appropriate disclosures are in place.
  • Document results of negotiations and maintain historical information of contracts.
  • Assist advisors in educating clients on offshore mutual funds.
  • Interact with financial advisors discussing fund availability and preferred share classes.
  • Provide analysis for decisions related to contract terms.
  • Execute product partner and financial advisor reporting requests.
  • Ensure all contracts meet company standards and regulations.
  • Maintain awareness of changes in contract management and finance.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to product partners and financial advisors.
  • Organize, manage, and execute objectives with minimal oversight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business (e.g. finance, accounting) and 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of investment products and securities markets, particularly offshore mutual funds.
  • Understanding of operational infrastructure and compliance standards in the financial services industry.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and Vlookup functions.
  • Ability to analyze business processes and identify improvement opportunities.

Nice-to-haves

  • SIE and Series 7 certifications preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in product planning, development, or management.
